Family Julien - Animateur web By Julien - Animateur web, the 06 November 2014

1914. The First World War bursts into Europe and more particularly into France and into Germany. During this war, approximately 9 million people died and approximately 20 millions were hurt. On the occasion of the centenary of the Great War and the remembrances of November 11th (date the end of the war in 1918), numerous actions are organized not to forget all these men and women who fought for our country.

Not to miss this event, the government created in 2012 the Mission of the Centenary of the First World War, to prepare and implement the program of remembrance of the 100th anniversary of the Great War. To accompany all the projects developed within the framework of the centenary of the war of 14, the Mission of the Centenary created the "Hundred-year-old" label. He allows to distinguish the most innovative and structuring projects for territories.
The department of Deux-Sèvres, host place of the from the Ardennes refugees and the soldiers hurt during this first world conflict, joins naturally and historically in this work of collective memory by proposing an anthology of commemorative events.

Obviously, this war speaks to us. More or less according to our age. We thus realized for you a selection of exhibitions, approachable to every public, with objects of period, movie, reconstruction of trench, taxi of the Marne…
