Family Alexandra - Responsable Communication By Alexandra - Responsable Communication, the 20 March 2014

"The tops of tourism in the Deux-Sèvres" organized by the Tourist Development Agency and the newspaper “Nouvelle République” took place for the second year, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Bressuire. Objective : promote tourism activities that give life to the department. This year's theme : the family. 3 of our partners have been rewarded this year and we congratulate them :

  • “Le Château de Saint-Mesmin” in Saint-André-sur-Sevre : Top "Tourism and Handicap",
  • “Les P’tits amoureux” in Ardin : Top "Tourism and Local",
  • “Le gite de la Grenouille” in Sansais - La Garette : Top "Tourism and Environment".

“Le Château de Saint-Mesmin” placed on accessibility

Touch Shot, signage in Braille, audio guides, information sheets in large print... here are some of the tools developed at the castle of Saint-Mesmin to empower people with disabilities. All these developments have led to the castle to get the four labels "Tourism and Handicap" : physical, mental, hearing, visual.

“Les P’tits amoureux”, from the local market to the national market

“Les P’tits amoureux”, the traditional biscuits in Ardin has already made a name in Deux-Sèvres and surrounding departments. It now starts to make a whole in France ! The raw materials used in its products from local businesses (AOP butter, milk from Ardin, family milk from Faye-sur-Ardin). And you can read all about it in the original packaging (box shaped 2CV or Eiffel Tower) used by the brand. Include all products within 3 shops in Ardin, Niort and La Rochelle but also throughout France in the shelves. A great showcase for Deux-Sèvres. The Galipote, dry cake takes the shape of a ghost from a legend, has not finished traveling !

“Le gite de la Grenouille, the environment primarily

Dominique Thomas is the owner of the cottage “Le gite de la Grenouille”, along conch in the village street of La Garette. He loves the Marais Poitevin and doing its best to save it. That is why he put on Ecotourism : The Green Key label and Clévacances environment attest ! For his house, he used non-allergenic paints, insulation hemp rather than synthetic materials... The “maraîchine” culture, respect for the environment : we believe !
