Candlemas, crepes make our happiness

Candlemas, it is on Monday, February 2nd. Then to prepare well this party, I concocted you a small recipe, just taken from my head ! Besides the traditional recipe of crepe, I imagined a compote of apples caramelized in the angelica for the side dish.

The recipe of crepes

Then for crepes, it is necessary :

  • 500 ml of milk,
  • 250 g of flour,
  • 4 eggs,
  • ½ glass of oil,
  • 1 pinch of salt.

Mix the whole in Blender and let rest the dough at room temperature.

The recipe of the compote of apples caramelized in the angelica

For the compote of apples caramelized in the angelica, we need :

  • 4 apples,
  • 1 Angélique's stick,
  • 60 g of brown sugar,
  • 60 g of butter,
  • Liquid Caramel.

Melt the butter, add it apples, angelica and brown sugar. Let simmer 45 minutes. At the end add a little liquid caramel.

Here we are, it's done. It does not more remain than to enjoy all this with the colleagues ! Best is to have a rough time the tepid compote on a crepe. A scoop of vanilla ice cream can also complete your plate. For the drink, we opted for a sparkling in the apple and some syrup of elder, bought from the shop “Les P’tits amoureux”. Success guaranteed, our palates are delighted !
